## Elevator Pitch
We propose developing a mobile app that farmers can use to build yield maps on a per-tree scale while harvesting manually. In turn, they could use the yield map to inform decisions like where to focus resources for next year’s harvest, or when to cut down old trees and plant new ones so that future yield is expected to grow. It is especially useful for the farmers to become more resilient to climate change. In essence, by making it easier to tell at an early stage where in their fields there are

## Climate Problem
The main need our solution addresses is the optimization of resources of smallholder farmers. Farmers in Latin America and all over the world have to work with limited resources. In addition, due to the effect of global warming and climate change, there has been disruptions to previously consistent weather patterns that Colombian agriculture relied on, causing changes in crop maturity, taste, and soil degradation; increased agricultural diseases, pests, and natural disasters like landslides; and disruptions to rural livelihoods as harvests become more inconsistent. Farmers have a hard time addressing this situation without appropriate historical data. Our tool would provide farmers with the means to collect and store such data, at the scale that would be most meaningful for them, so that they can make the best decisions, even in uncertain circumstances. Due to the challenges mentioned above, farmers have to modify their practices in order to adapt to new climate requirements while rema
