Elevator Pitch

We transform mango waste into a stabilized paste to replace molasses in animal feed. We reduce greenhouse gas emissions from decomposition in the field and eliminate breeding grounds for fruit flies, creating a circular value chain.

Climate Problem

We address the methane and CO2 emissions caused by the decomposition of tons of mangoes left to rot in the fields. This is a critical issue because this waste attracts fruit flies, exacerbating agricultural losses and increasing the sector’s carbon footprint.

Solution

We process waste mangoes to create a stabilized paste that replaces molasses in animal feed. In practice, we collect discarded fruit before it spoils, breaking the pest cycle and preventing organic decay.

Revenue Model

Through the B2B sale of stabilized pulp to animal feed mills as an energy source. In addition, we anticipate revenue from waste management services provided to agricultural exporters and the potential to sell carbon reduction credits.

Target Market

Our primary market consists of livestock feed manufacturing plants in northern Peru. We also serve livestock associations seeking low-cost energy inputs and mango export companies.

Demand Evidence

There is high demand due to the rising cost of sugarcane molasses. We have confirmed this interest through trials with local producers who are seeking sustainable alternatives, as well as the critical need for producers to sell the fruit that is otherwise lost in the field.

Competitors

We compete with traditional suppliers of sugarcane molasses and manufacturers of corn byproducts. There are no direct competitors in the region that stabilize mango waste for this purpose; we are pioneers in turning this liability into an asset.
