In Natoure we fight against Climate Change through conserving nature, we are a community that promotes nature conservation, social inclusion and Latin American integration, Natoure is "healing nature while traveling".

Climate Problem

Nobody knows it but about ⅓ of Climate Change results from biodiversity loss. At the same time Latin America is the most biodiverse region, the most overexploited one and the second with more poverty. This is a reality for most of the countries, including Mexico as the 4th most biodiverse country worldwide.x000D x000D On the other hand talking about tourism, Mexico is the 7th most visited, however occupies the 108th position of sustainable tourism. But, how come? basically tourism has 3 big troubles:x000D x000D 1. Lots of money but in few hands: 80% of tourist expenses go to foreign enterprises (ATA), and there is a lot of informality in tourism.x000D x000D 2. Lots of travelers but in few places: 77% of travelers concentrate in 5 destinations generating uncontrolled environmental impacts (trash, water pollution, energy, imported food)x000D x000D 3. Lots of tourism but little participation of local initiatives , locals only receive 7% of what travelers really pay.
