Elevator Pitch

EcoPeque offers electric conversion kits for traditional riverboat engines. We eliminate noise pollution that causes hearing loss and reduce oil spills and CO2 emissions in our Amazonian rivers to zero.

Climate Problem

GHG emissions, oil spills from traditional riverboats, and the displacement of aquatic species. This is a critical issue because this reliance on fossil fuels accelerates climate change, pollutes the water, and the extreme noise it generates causes hearing loss in local communities.

Solution

We offer electric conversion kits (retrofits) for boats. In practice, we remove the combustion engine and install an electric system powered by batteries. This completely eliminates emissions, noise, and spills into the river.

Revenue Model

Hybrid model: 1) Direct sales and installation of electric conversion kits for boats, and 2) A subscription or rental system for swappable batteries (Battery-as-a-Service), ensuring recurring revenue.

Target Market

Our initial target market consists of ecotourism companies and river transport operators in the Amazon. As we scale up, we will target riverside communities, NGOs, and local governments focused on sustainable mobility and community health.

Demand Evidence

Based on our experience living in the Amazon, we know that the river is a major thoroughfare. Ecotourism operators are already calling for quiet transportation so as not to disturb the wildlife, and local communities need to reduce the high daily costs of fossil fuels.

Competitors

We are competing against traditional internal combustion engines and foreign electric options (such as Torqeedo) that are prohibitively expensive. Locally in Iquitos, there are no competitors offering electric retrofits for river vessels; we will be pioneers in the area.

We are environmental engineers based in the Amazon. I bring years of experience leading quality control and compliance efforts in the local electricity distribution sector, ensuring technical and regulatory rigor; my partner brings expertise in impact management and field operations.
