Elevator Pitch

We build low-cost bioacoustic monitoring and local AI models for tropical forests where global species-recognition tools underperform. With Indigenous partners, we generate auditable biodiversity indicators for conservation finance.

Climate Problem

Tropical forests store carbon and protect biodiversity, but conservation finance lacks reliable local biodiversity MRV. Global AI tools underperform for endemic species, limiting finance for Indigenous forest stewards.

Solution

We deploy acoustic sensors in remote forests, build local species libraries with Indigenous partners, and train adapted AI models. This generates auditable biodiversity indicators for conservation reporting and finance.

Revenue Model

We sell biodiversity monitoring packages including sensor deployment, baseline biodiversity reports, AI monitoring, and MRV support to conservation NGOs, carbon project developers, and nature-reporting teams.

Target Market

Conservation NGOs, carbon and biodiversity project developers, governments, and companies seeking biodiversity MRV, ecological monitoring, and nature-related reporting solutions.

Social Impact

Indigenous Peoples, People Living in Extreme Poverty, Women

Demand Evidence

CSRD and frameworks like TNFD are pushing companies and investors to measure nature-related impacts and risks. Conservation and carbon projects need credible, low-cost biodiversity MRV to validate outcomes and attract finance.

Competitors

Competitors include Rainforest Connection and Wildlife Acoustics. We differentiate through locally adapted endemic-species models, Indigenous partnerships, and community-led biodiversity governance.

Founder Expertise

Jaqueline Garcia-Yi is an environmental economist and data scientist with 20 years of experience in biodiversity, AI, geospatial analysis, and climate policy at UNEP and UNODC. Hendrik Walcher specializes in bioacoustics, ecology, and field operations.

External Support

We received a letter of interest from the Kowen Antami Consortium, representing Asháninka and Yánesha communities in Peru’s Yanachaga-Chemillén National Park, supporting our pilot and Indigenous partnership model.
